 All
RPCVs are encouraged to get involved with one of our group's action teams.
Do you enjoy sharing stories about your Peace Corps experiences with school
groups? Would you like to help organize social events for other area RPCVs? Would you be willing to talk to potential PCVs that have
questions about the Peace Corps experience? If you answered "yes" to any
of these questions, you should get involved with one of our action teams today!

Goal: Educate the public about other countries and cultures
The outreach action team seeks to provide opportunities for RPCVs to share their Peace
Corps experiences with others in the community by speaking for school and
community groups. If you are a teacher or civic group leader and wish to
have an RPCV speak to your class or group, send us an email! If you are an
RPCV, please join our speakers' bureau so we can share your name with teachers
and community groups that want to learn more about Peace Corps or the country
you served in. Either email
info@rpcvs.org or
register with the national Peace Corps speakers' bureau at
http://www.peacematch.org.

Goal: Prepare and support Peace Corps Volunteers for their work overseas
Each year our group provides a small project grant to a PCV from the Chicago
suburbs who is currently serving overseas. If you know a local PCV
who may be interested, let us know!

Leader: Nancy Horn
Goal: Support the network of RPCVs and affiliate groups
The events action team organizes regular social/networking events for RPCVs in
the western suburbs. Do you know of a good ethnic restaurant that other
RPCVs might enjoy? Do you have an idea for an outing that might be
interesting to other RPCVs? Let us know!
